Hello and thank you for visiting my website. I hope you
enjoy it and take a look at the photos of some of the examples of
my work.

My name is Debbie Ray and I started grooming dogs in 1980.
I bought my first show dog that same year, a Shih Tzu named
Cutie. Through the years, I continued showing other breeds, such as Poodles,
Lhasa Apso, Pomeranians, Miniature Pinchers, Pekingese and many others.
These days I show Yorkshire Terriers.

I love dogs, so grooming them was the perfect career choice
for me. I learned to groom from talented people who mentored me. My
first mentor was Timithy Reese. He gave me a Miniature Poodle
in 1982 that I named Timmy. My payment for this dog was to groom , show and finish him as a American Kennel Club ("AKC")
champion. As I worked on grooming Timmy, Timothy Reese would teach me
and correct my grooming. Without his time and patience I would not be the groomer I am.

As I went to the dog shows I would choose a breed or two and visit
with breeders and handlers to learn the different breeds and the
way they were supposed to be groomed for show. Today, most of
the clients' dogs I groom are not show dogs, but they deserve to
be treated like treasures.

Over the almost thirty years of grooming, I have finished many
AKC champions and Canadian champions, competed in and
won grooming contests and I have shared my talent with others that wanted
to learn the art of dog grooming. I can't think of a job that
would be more fun and fulfilling as making a dog feel happy
and look great.
